I'm looking for a BBQ sause recipe made with beer. Anyone have one they like?

A tip I picked up from cooking with beer is that you can convert any recipe into a beer recipe. Just replace the water with the same amount of beer.

For bbq sauce, I'd probably go with something darker and malty like a bock, schwarzbier, or dry stout.

I have a sweet, hot, & smokey BBQ sauce that I use a nice dark beer in if you want. It's good on anything - beef, pork chicken, ribs of whatever animal... :)

My Beer & Molasses BBQ sauce:
-------------------------------------------------
2 bottles of chili sauce, strained to de-seed if desired
12 oz. beer, the darker the better
1 C. molasses
2 T. Dijon mustard
1 T. chili powder
1 T. soy sauce
1 T. chipotle hot sauce
2 tsp. lemon juice
1 T. butter
whatever level of Habanero pepper you can stand*

Combine all ingredients in a saucepan and bring to boil. Reduce heat and simmer on low, 18-20 minutes, until sauce is thickened.
Stir Frequently. Makes about a quart.
* I like heat, yet I still slice off only a chunk of habanero for this sauce, and I have to remove after simmering for 10 minutes, so it isn't too hot for most people. I use the habanero because of its particular fruitiness.
