I have a 15 gallon polar ware kettle with a half inch ball valve. It did not come with a hose adapter so I bought a brass one to attach. Is brass ok or will it give it a funky flavor?
As long as it is lead-free brass you should be fine. Somewhere on the packaging it will tell you if it is lead-free. If it doesn't you can take the gamble but since those things cost less than $2 I would hunt down a lead-free one... I know Home Depot carries them.
