No VGA on new Laptop

I finally made the plunge and bought a new laptop. This new laptop doesn't have a VGA port though and I hook up my laptop everyday to my flatscreen via a VGA cable. Flatscreen does not have a HDMI port and it appears that is all this laptop has. Do I have to buy a new monitor or what other solutions are there.

Does the monitor have a DVI port? If so, you should be able to use an HDMI to DVI adapter.

You should be able to find a cheap HDMI-to-VGA adapter cable. But upgrading to a newer monitor that supports HDMI would obviously be sweet.

You should check out a website called monoprice for the cables and/or adapters. They have everything and great prices. I buy HDMI cables for about $3-18 each!

+1 on monoprice. I get all computer and tv cables mounts and such from them now.
