So I picked up myself up 8 ounces of warrior hops at the LHBS during the last visit to my family in PA. I couldn't resist. I'm a little skeptical of this hop for the kettle so I have decided to tread lightly with my initial experiment.

I've dusted of my XXX Pale ale recipe and modified it a bit to support this big boy hop. I'm going to brew this bad boy up today and see how I like this over the top hop. So here it goes mashing in at 3:00pm EDT

Crystal malt 5.00%
Munich malt 5.00%
Domestic Two row
Pale Malt 85.00%
100.00%

Hops IBU's ounces Alpha Acids Addition Phase
NB 12.5 1.14 6.5 Kettle addition
Warrior 12.5 0.46 16 Kettle addition
Perle 12.5 1.46 6.3 Middle addtion
Warrior 12.5 0.58 16 Middle addtion
NB 5 0.77 6.5 Late Addition
NB 1.00 End of Boil
Cascade 1.00 dry hop

I've hear good things about Warrior. I might try some once I've worked my way through the second pound of Columbus.

Then again, I might actually get some hops off of my vines this year.
