Hello. I am new and this is my second batch of homebrew. My first was a british bitter kit from NB and came out good. This second batch was based on Whiteys Pale Ale from Papazian's book and advice from the forum. I wanted to post this to see what more experienced brewers think(would you change anything?). I should have posted this before I made the batch but was to eager to get them going.

Steeping Grains
1/2lb Pound Caramalt 45L
1/2lb Crisp Crystal
1/4lb Victory Malt

6.6lb Light Malt Extract

Hops
1oz Cascade 60 min
3/4oz French Strisselsplalt 10 Min Taste
1/2oz Sterling 1 Minute Aroma

English Ale Yeast

I did two 5 gallon batches the only difference was that I smoke/roasted the grains over oak chunks on my smoker for one batch. I based this off of a pale ale recipe but added the steeping grains and assume that it will now be considered an english brown ale. Just wanted to see if anyone had any comments or suggestions. This is the first time I didnt follow a recipe.
