so i opened up a plastic fermenter tonight to rack a blonde ale onto some blue/black/raspberries in a secondary and floating right on the top of the beer is a dead june bug. I brewed the beer outside at night, out away from the house, but the flood light was on and there were lots of bugs around it. Guess one found its way into the beer and that was it. Pulled a taste off, tasted like good warm flat beer, so went ahead and moved it into the secondary and back into the cellar.
it's true, RDWHAHB (in this case it was actually a margarita not a home brew, but the principle still applies i guess.)
we'll see how it tastes after bottling, and sitting for a month or 2.
