True TDD-1 , need opinions before 8AM

I am at work right now and just found a True TDD-1 kegerator single tower, on sale for $150 on CL.

Is this a good brand?
I see new ones for >$1000

Let me know as I need to call the guy when I get off of work at 0800

It'll be heavy duty and LOUD.Have them plug it in before you get there and bring a thermo to make sure it gets cold.

I think True is a good brand. They're all over the restaurant industry. I have seen them breakdown quite a bit, but no more than any other commercial brand and that could be circumstantial due to heavy use or my job at the time to find restaurant refrigerators out of temp.

I went to see the unit today and ended up passing on it. Even at $150,it was just to beat up and loud for my liking.

On a good note though, I made a deal today on a brand new 14.8 cuft chest freezer for $150. Divorces are hell for the people going through them, but good for homebrewers.
