as i don't really want to pull product from my secondary and replace it with water (ie: diluting my final product), i pose this question:

at what temperature does sparkolloid activate? does it HAVE to be 176-205 (boiling temp of water) or can it just be really hot?

my thought process is to pull some of my product, heat it, mix in the sparkolloid, and reintroduce it all to the batch

i just dont want to boil out the alcohol content.

how small a batch do you have that you worry about the amount of alcohol you might boil off in 5 min? I mean really un less your sparkloid is different than mine how much will you lose boiling 1 cup for 5 min?

i've got a 1 gallon batch that i want to experiment with (i use 1 gallon batches for all my new flavors; in case i don't like them). So i'm going to be using half a TSP and a 1/4 cup of fluid.
