setting up Keezer

ok, so i finally got my 7.2 cubic foot fridgedair freezer and my temperature controller.
i just hooked everything up and have a few questions. ok, first, the coil that goes to the temperature sensor, does that have to be in the fridge? i'm also curious as to the best way to hook it up. do you usually drill through the fridge to insert the sensor, or just hang it between the door and the freezer?
any comments as to the best way to set it up would be great.

I used duct tape to secure the probe inside of the fridge and ran the wire out past the door gasket. The gasket seals just fine around the wire. I set the probe so that it does not touch the wall of the fridge to avoid inaccurate readings.

does the setting of the freezers thermostat matter? high or low?

Set the fridge thermostat as cold as it will go. The fridge will only turn on when the controller tells it to anyway.
