Apple Beer a recipe from the 1700s

Hey,

New to the forum and I just want to say first I love this site been lurkin for awhile and have gathered a lot of info. I live in Maine and with the long winter this is certainly the hobby to have. So, to my question. From another website I found an old recipe for what is called Apple Beer it uses malts and cider. I was wondering if anybody has any experience with this type of thing as I am working on an updated version to brew. Thanks in advanced for any info you can provide.
