I just built and tested my new immersion chiller. I used a 50 ft coild of 3/8" refrigeration coil, cut it in half, and made two chillers. I then saudered some pieces to make it a two inlet/two outlet, duel type chiller. I figured two inlets may help cool a bit quicker or efficientley. Basically it is two immersion chillers in one. Tested it today. Boiled 11 gallons of water and it cooled it to pitching temps in 30 minutes. Is this good or par for the course when it comes to immersion chillers?

that's pretty good for a straight immersion chiller without any recirculation. sounds like a rib-like immersion chiller that others have made. always fun building it yourself!

Yeah....it was my first endeavor into soldering. went OK. I had to build/get one so I can do my first all grain batch.....
