I am just about to cool my Dry stout and was wondering if I need to pull the hop bags before I cool or leave them in the entire time????

I'd leave them in, but it's just a matter of preference. I didn't even use hop bags on my last one. Just let'em float around free in the boil. :D

I would leave them in. I dont use hop bags so all my hop particles remain in the kettle until cooled. Then I strain them out when pouring into my primary..

Thanks,
I've always left them in but wasn't sure if it was the right thing to do. I pulled them this time.
