No, as long you don't pack them too full. The tighter weave reduces flow somewhat, so you want the wort to have unrestricted movement once in the bag.
 
There are varying degrees of weaves of muslin. There is what brewstores normally give the crushed grain in. And then theres the tighter weave more fabric type.
 
+ 1 to not packing them too tight. I use a 5 gallon paint strainer from Lowes. Seems to allow lots of movement of the wort.
