I'm about to brew a dubbel on the high end of the gravity scale for the style and I don't plan to drink it until maybe October or November. I'm wondering if I should spring the extra couple bucks for some oxygen-absorbing caps. Opinions?

Couldn't hurt if you're putting the beer down for a while. Another option is squirting some CO2 in the bottles if you have a CO2 tank.

I agree w/ Janx. Just keep the bottles upright so the beer does not contact the oxygen absorber in the cap.

And purging the bottle w/ co2 would be the best bet.
