as i have seen before alot of people are using the stainless steel mesh cylinder of a hose that is used under the sink so i decided to go after that and i bought one but i tested it for rusting by leaving it in water for an hour but then little specs of rust started to appear and i dont have any other option besides this stuff....maybe cause of the water im using?any ideas thanks -david

I havnt had any issues with mine, its been over a year.
I suspect it's not rust. If you could not see rust on the weave, then it's probably some other form of contamination. All of the supply hoses I've seen in the store were very clean looking.
But I made my manifold out of copper pipe...
