Hello,
I found a 6months old packet of Wyeast 1388 in the fridge. I made a starter, and it was going very slowly, but in the end, it smelled like it should, and it stopped fermenting. But it was all very very slow.
I've made a full brew now, and it is fermenting, but it is very slow, like the starter was. OG: 1.082. Is there any chance that yeast is too old to ferment a brew untill the end?
To me, it seems like it shouldn't mean a thing as long as it is fermenting. Is this correct?
Thanks,
Marius
