Haha, the impatience does die down in time. I'm at the point now that I have started forgetting that I have beer sitting in fermenters that needs to be kegged. I never thought that day would come back when I bottled my first batch.
I was knelt down next to my batch of american wheat last night watching the krausen bubble and watching the yeast "snow" swirling all around inside. My wife think's I'm nuts. She wasnt too happy about the sulfur during the apfelwein batch!
My family thinks I am nuts for going downstairs to "check my beer" everyday, when I get home from work. It is bottled now (x about 4 days) and it NEEDS checking on!
I feel your pain, the few times that I have brewed, it ended up being drank green. I'm a little older and wiser now, so ill just run to the store for some ayinger if im feeling thirsty!
