I brewed a Milk Stout and it's delicious and it has a definite chocolate covered raisin taste. I'm wondering where the raisin flavor is coming from so I can use that combo later. I've read that you can get it from Crystal 120 or Special B but I didn't have any in here.

My recipe contained:
2 Row
Roasted Barley
Munich
Chocolate Malt
Crystal 60
Flaked Barley
Flaked Oats
Lactose

Could it just be a mixture of the lactose/crystal 60 that's giving me a raisin?

In my experience, lactose doesn't add too much flavor. Some people have claimed a touch of milk flavor though, so I guess it's possible that the combination of that and the c-60 are giving you the raisin character. How much of the specialty malts listed did you use?

Here's the grainbill. I used 1056 at 68 degrees (my fermenter couldn't go lower in the heatwave!)

5 Gallon Batch

7lb 12 oz 2-row
1 lb Roasted Barley
12 oz munich
12 oz Crystal 60
12 oz chocolate malt
10 oz flaked barley
8 oz flaked oats
1 lb Lactose
