Happy New Year!

Thought it might be fun to share our Brew Year's Resolutions for 2012.

Here are mine:

1) To move to all grain brewing
2) To move out of the kitchen and begin using a floor boiler
3) To formulate my own recipe for a very flavorful every day beer (at 3.5% ABV)
4) To upgrade my brew equipment to include a fermentation chamber
5) To attend my local homebrew club meetings every month
6) To brew a minimum of once per month and total at least 150 gallons of beer
7) To learn to hit my OG and FG levels

Happy Brew Year!

Started brewing back in November with extract, no yeast starters, no fermentation control, shaking to aerate my wort, as well as very little knowledge in regards to brewing.

So my resolution for 2012 is to move to all-grain (due to an interest in more control over the brewing process, and cost savings), yeast starters, temp control, more controllable aeration of my wort, and apply everything that I've learned over the last two months and brew better beer! I have to say Brew Strong from Brewing Network has been a lifesaver!

Thanks Jamil & John! (And Justin and Tasty, and everyone else from Brew Strong/BN)

And thanks to Yooper for a cool fermentation control method as I don't have space for another fridge/freezer.
