Hi all,
I just wanted to pass a note that I am extremely impressed with the Winexpert Wine Wand. I only do kits but when I use the wine wand to degas and mix in the final finings I get the clearest wines ever.
I have used spoons, paddles, and the mix-stir and nothing comes close to providing the mix I get.
I put it on the end of a rechargeable drill and go forward and reverse for about 1 minute, following the directions. By the time I am done, the wine has formed a thick crust of at the top which quickly solidifies and become a thick paste. At that point, I could rack right off into bottles because it literally does not get any clearer over the next 14 days.
The stability, clarity, body, and flavor of the wine far exceed the wines I used to make using other mixing methods.
