A special (?) brew for my dad

I've been making a really good pale ale for a while now, giving it to my Dad and my brothers. My bro's really like it.....Dad thinks it's too strong.

He asks,"Can you make me something like Budweiser?"

My recipe is made up with 6.5 pounds of light LME in five gallons.

What amount of LME would I use to "water down" my recipe for my Dad?

one I found online, although its PM... just use lots of rice extract, water, and it'll taste something like american beer! HAHAH

It's probably not the LME you need to adjust, it's the hops.

Reduce the entire malt bill by 1.5 lbs. and substitute 1 lb of malt with 1 lb of rice solids.

So we're at four pounds of LME, and one pound of rice syrup/solids?

You can up that to 4.5 lbs LME...and keep the rice at 1 lb.

You can also make it lighter in color if you change the LME to extra light DME (about 3.5 lbs DME is the equivalant).

Did you try just urinating in the bottle?

no really, the rice syrup is the key. Throw in some corn sugar too.

Water down your pale ale until it's light straw then call it a coors clone
