Hello from Deer Park TX newby here

I've been interested in homebrewing for 9 years now. I was Xmas shopping and saw a Mr. Beer kit. I didn't buy it but it got me thinking, I searched, and didn't find much at the time. I was in a book store about four months ago and bought how to brew. Then two months ago I did a Google search and found hbt. I bought a kit at my local homebrew shop, started it on last Friday. It's a Irish Red Ale that the shop supplied with the kit. Hopefully I did enough research to some what get a decent first batch. Thanks for all the great info guys.

You should be fine, just keep an eye on the temps, It gets warm in that bucket during active fermentation.

Roger that, I've got it in a water bath changing out frozen water bottles, and it's been a 64°F from the start.
