I'll be the devil on your shoulder then. Make a starter and see what happens....or how it smells. Get some reassurance before you pitch it, but I'd at least finish washing your yeast and let it roll through a starter, if it's dishwasher clean at least and didn't have something crazy in it before you used it of course.
