A local convenience store was going out of business and the owner gave me a corny keg (friend of mine). The issue is: This is my first corny and it's full. Whats the safest way to relieve the pressure and dump the Dr. Pepper? I'd prefer not taking a shower in the syrup.

Thanks y'all.

You can just pull the pressure release valve to bleed off the CO2 (when it stops hissing, you're done :) ), then just open up the lever arm on the center cap and pour it out.

If you happen to have one of the cornies that don't have a pressure relief valve on the lid you could take a small screw driver and press down on the poppet that's in the center of the IN post.
