I'm brewing my first lager and am not sure how long it should be in the secondary before I bottle. Any standard timeframe for this? (brew is a light lager- budweiser clone)

at least a few weeks, more like 4.
I learned (I think from Menschmachine) to use the OG as a guideline. So, for an OG of 1.060, six weeks would be a good lagering time. For an OG of 1.040, 4 weeks is good. Each beer is a bit different, but that's a good rule of thumb and it's been working well for me.

I don't know how good this information is, because I've never done a lager, but I will be doing one in the next few months, and intend to follow Palmer's advice.
