Leaky water heater...anything salvagable?

I am replacing my water heater this weekend, I'm a pretty new to brewing but don't see myself deviating from it. So I am always looking at things to use to make beer with. There has to be some parts I could pull from the water heater right? Just wondering if there is any worthwhile that might be worth throwing in the garage for later use. As far as I know the elements are good, the thing just leaks. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Oh yeah..its electric by the way

The heating element might be worthwhile, they're only 7 or 8 dollars new though. Maybe the anode but I doubt it.
