I made some punch for Christmas, and it occured to me that it would probably force carb very well.

1 quart orange sherbet
2 liters orange soda
2 cinnamon sticks
1 tsp cloves
1/2 tsp nutmeg
2 tablespoons orange zest
1 oz rum
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
about 1 cup sprite zero, or similar

Mix the dry spices, and the sprite zero, in a small sauce pan. Simmer covered for about 20 minutes. Remove from heat, add rum and vanilla. Cover and let steep for about 30 minutes. Pour through a small mesh strainer into a glass bottle and refrigerate overnight.

Place the sherbet in the punch bowl, pour the flavor extract over it, then the orange soda. Let the sherbet partially melt beforehand for a creamier punch.

I completely pulled this recipe out of my ***. I've never made punch before, but this sounded good in my head. It was really good in the cup too.

Does anyone else care to share there punch recipes? I would think most of them would make awesome soda. :)
