Which is better?
I need to order longer lines because I'm getting a bit too much foam with the 4-1/2 foot lines I currently have. I figure 8 feet each should be good enough, but I'm just wondering which ID would be better.

Thanks!

Nick

I'm pretty new to kegging but I asked this same question. You want the 3/16" line because you need the resistance. 1/4" would need much longer length. I have 8' of 3/16", works great.

Yeah, I just put a cup of water in the microwave until it starts to boil, then let the tip of the beer line rest in the water for about 30 sec. Goes on easily after that.

3/16 is the way to go. Heat it up in hot water. I find that the thick wall stuff is easier to get onto the the 1/4 barb. More to grab on to without it bending or buckling while pushing it on.
