Carbing without yeast

When bottling, is there an easy to carbonate the brew without relying on the yeast to do the job? If there is I would prefer to do it that way. Plus a buddy and I are thinking about starting a microbrew and it seems like something I should know how to do.
 
Kegging - then bottle from keg.

They also sell carbonation caps that fit on 2L soda bottles, and some homemade solutions to do that.
