My 5 gallon batch is reading 1.005, and I plan on racking onto 10 lbs of blackberries. Should I rack it now while the yeast are still active, or wait for primary fermentation to finish??

You should be fine to rack now. If you don't have time to rack now just do it a little later should still be ok. I have thought about a blackberry mead myself keep us posted how it turns out.

Will do. Thanks. I will rack it on Wednesday. I'd do it tomorrow, but I suppose I should do something nice for the little lady...

Racked today onto the blackberries. I took a gravity reading; 1.000. There was very little yeast settled at the bottom of the carboy. I'm thinking the fruit will add more fermentables and the yeast should eat them up. The must was still very cloudy, so I'm assuming fermentation was not complete.
