My neighbor brought me over an empty 15.5 gallon keg. It has a bunch of brown gunk in it. What is the best way to clean it? Thanks for any replies.

Fill it with hot water and a couple cups of Oxiclean Free or PBW. Let it soak overnight. Or use TSP, hot water, rubber gloves, and a soft scrub pad. Rinse very well.

Boil PBW in it, That thing will be bright and shiny, like new after you boil the crap out of it!!!!MAN I WISH I COULD GET LUCKY!!!!!!!:mug:

Probably 20 to 30 min depends on how nasty it is, just a nice steady boil it dose,nt have to be a full rolling boil. I do this to my brew kettle about every 4 or 5 uses and it just gleems after your done.
