Ok, I've decided to use gelatin for my IPA to clear it out a bit. I'm bottle conditioning so I'm only going to use about half a packet.
Do I need to rack to a secondary before doing this or can I do it right in the primary? Its in a 6 gal BB.

Add a full package to the primary and chill it if you can. It will clear in several days and then you can rack to a bottling bucket. Don't worry about if there will be enough yeast - there will be.

I have an extra dry yeast packet from this kit(I used Wyeast American Ale II), would it be good to be extra safe and add more yeast at bottling time?

You could add some (not the whole thing) if you were worried about it taking longer then usual to carbonate - but trust me it will.
