LEARN FROM MY MISTAKES!! :p

I toasted and put in about 1.5 lbs of shredded unsweetened coconut in my secondary, and before I knew it (about 5 minutes after racking the beer to the carboy), I had loads of foam spewing out my airlock. I quickly grabbed the easiest thing I saw to rig some sort of blowoff, and before I knew it beer was coming out like crazy! Now, 1 hour (and a lot of tape holding the stopper down) later, I realize...Shake the damn thing! Shaking it makes all the air underneath escape, and everything fall back to normal. A lovely sticky floor coconutty mess later, I've learned from my mistakes, and I'm hoping anyone who's venturing to do the same will learn from them as well!! I know I should've weighted the coconut down...but I got lazy :p
