I've learned a lot of good things from this forum about properly smoking cigars. The one part I haven't gotten down is a consistent light. I feel like many of my sticks taste burnt, when they didn't used to.

It's possible the problem is related to humidity issues during the pandemic, and I lost some flavor/oils before fixing the problem. However, I've noticed when I light a stick off the cherry of another, it's perfectly fine. I'm tempted to save old cigars (i'm not a fan of the last 1/3), or buy cheap sticks to light others, which seems like cigar abuse. Before I do that, any thoughts?

Some info for reference:
- I typically smoke outside
- Seems to happen with hard or soft flames
- Humidor has been at a consistent 66%-69% humidity for at least 6 months
- Tends to happen more with my older Ave Marias and Kuba Kubas, which may have gotten as low as 50%-55% before i fixed things. However they're usually the first cigar I'll smoke.
