I thought I was gonna wait until friday to try one, then my fraternity brother Matt called and told me how good his came out (we both bottled a batch friday night... he has done like 25 batches though). Only aged 4 days, so its pretty heavy on the coffee flavor. In another two weeks it should REALLY smooth out and the hops should be more apparent. Carbonation is good, and its definitly alcoholic! 1.050 wort, and came down to 1.020 after 2 weeks in primary. ~4% is good enough for me to notice....

Looks great...my espresso stout from earlier this year was probably the best beer I've ever made. Stout and coffee are just meant for each other.

I've been wanting to make another stout, looks like this may be it.

To be honest it was the picture in Cheesefood's thread that inspired me to make the caramel cream ale too.

Going to the LHBS tomorrow. :ban:
