Why don't we get alcohol after bottling?

I mean it makes sense that there's no place for the CO2 to escape so it stays in the beer thus we carbonate our beer. But why doesn't alcohol form after priming and bottling? Is it because all of the oxygen is gone.
 
It does, but not much. First, there's limited food (primer) and air (headspace) for the yeast to do its thing.

Second, the CO2 in a sealed bottle is put to use because the bottle is sealed, concentrating the CO2 into the beer, rather than escaping through an airlock.
 
Figure 1/4 cup of sugar in 5 gallons. That's 0.3% by weight. About 1/2 the weight goes to CO2, the other half to alcohol.
