Should I decant washed lager yeast

I just washed American and German Lager yeast. Now that the yeast has settled to the bottom of the mason jars should I decant the beer that’s inside and replace it with distilled water.

I suggest boiling the water to deplete the oxygen to encourage the yeast to stay dormant.
