I have the following ingredients:

6lb Amber DME
1lb Crystal 10L
1lb Carapils

At least 2oz of each of the following:
Tettnanger
Cascade
Northern Brewer
Willamette

Pitching WLP011 European Ale Yeast

Trying to get good malty sweetness, balanced IBU, and good aroma. Would like to achieve the same balance of flavor and aroma as Karl Strauss amber lager.

I wouldn't use the Tettnanger, save that for a hefe or a wheat. I try to keep my ambers in the 30-40 IBU range. BJCP has it at 25-40 IBUs. Personally, I would use the Willammette and Cascade.

Sounds good to me!

I don't know how much to use for aroma, though. I don't have any experience with that.
