I think you misinterpreted what Big John said. He was saying that
he values Yuri_Rage's opinion, as many of us here at HBT do.
Back on Topic......
On the west side of town there is the
Chicago Brewing Co.
Brewsmith is in town this week and I took him there and we had a great time. We tried several of their beers and ate some killer calzones.
Agreed, Monte Carlo brewpub sucks. They aren't even a brewery. They do have a little better selection than previously stated. Last time I was there I had Stone IPA. They actually had the whole line of Stones more common beers.
And based on Yuri's assessment of the Hofbrauhaus, personally I'm in no real hurry to go there.
As Flack said,
The Freakin Frog is a great place. Here's what is currently on tap:
- Delirium Tremens Belgian Ale
- Rouge's Charlie Strong Ale
- Black Butte Porter
- Lindeman's Framboise
- Chimay White
- Pabst Blue Ribbon Lager
- Newcastle Brown Ale
- Cindercone Seasonal Red Ale
- Sierra Nevada Celebration Ale
- Anchor Steam Ale
- Pyramid Snow Cap
- Sprecher Bourbon Barrel
- Sierra Nevada Pale Ale
- Old Fog Horn Barley Wine
- Leinenkugel Sunset Wheat
And their bottle selection is
QUITE extensive.
