Using Spanish cedar in the secondary

Is it dangerous to use cedar from an actual cigar box (in secondary)... or can the box hold onto dangerous nicotine oil, toxins if it has been used to store cigars?
 
Some types of cedar have toxic resins. Cooking cedar is almost always western red cedar.
