The airlock grommet feel into my fermenter and I can't find it in the dark wert. Is this going to be a problem? I'm thinking that since it was sanitized I should be OK, but this is only my fourth batch so I need the wisdom of the experts. Thanks

It happens to a lot of us. It happened on my last batch. I just switched to a blow off tube because I don't want to have to deal with that grommet any more.
I had some extra tube laying around so I just drilled a hole in the top and squeezed in the tube.

At least you know where it went. I dropped one on the floor and it must have rolled to China. I was obsessed with finding it for the rest of the day with no avail, and it was an extra one.
