I just purchased a better bottle for making apfelwein, and was wondering if I need to do anything to it besides sanitize it before I can start adding ingredients.

May be a dumb Q but I just want to be sure!

Thanks in advance.

The only other thing you might want to consider when using BBs is that they aren't easy to move around after they are full. They are much lighter than glass carboys, but BBs sides can collapse in (similar to an open plastic soda bottle) or bow out if you have to pick it to move it and you can suck the airlock water into it or if very full you can force whats inside up into the airlock. So to avoid this I usually put my better bottle inside a milk crate so I can move it around easier. If I need to move it, I just carry it around inside the milk crate, instead of picking it up by the neck or giving it bear hug.
