So I've been in the experimental mood and I've been harvesting my own yeast so I made a nut brown ale (recipe below) and today I added 1 lb of brown sugar to the secondary, racked, and inoculated it with lager yeast. I'm wondering what to call my beer/what style (if any) it would fit into. I'm not going to enter this into any competition (except for battle with my tastebuds and liver) so this is just for my curiosity.
Primary: English Ale
Secondary: Bavarian Lager
Fermentables:
1 lb English Brown Malt
0.5 lb Weyermann Chocolate Wheat
4 oz Flaked Wheat
A little bit of Crystal 60º L
6 lb Muttons Plain Dark DME
1 lb brown sugar (secondary)
1 oz Cascade – 60 Min
Half oz Cascade – 10 min
Dash Cascade – 5 min
Dash Cascade – Flameout
Yeast 1: Danstar Windsor Ale yeast
Temp: 64-70º F
Yeast 2: Bavarian Style Lager Yeast (harvested from a pilsner)
Temp: 46-58F
