Anchor Liberty...Cidery?

I'm working my way through my 300 beers to try before you die book. Anchor liberty was on there so I picked one up in my beer store which carries just about everything.

But the beer tastes apple-peach cidery. Is it just me or is it supposed to taste like this?

I don't see a date on the bottle either. I can't say I care for it too much. I was wondering what everyone else thought about it.

I think it's buying west coast beers on the east coast. Bought a rouge dead guy today and I'm sorely disappointed.
