Strawberries are coming in but at least locally the quality is low because of the hard freeze. I have some that wine making might be the best use. When I make muscadine wine, I let the wild yeast work its magic.
Anybody try wild yeast strawberry wine production?

I turned it this morning and it is bubbling quite well so the answer is yes.

Are you reusing the muscadine yeast cake, or are you using wild yeast from the strawberries & nothing else? Either way, I'm curious as to how this will turn out. Regards, GF.

The wild yeast from the strawberries. I had not planed on adding the sugar till the end of day two by the bubbles stopped today so in went the sugar to see if it will crank back up again.

I will post again after the turn in the morning.

After adding the sugar, the bubbling started back but not enough to push up a cap. I will strain off the pulp this afternoon and give it another day.
