Hey all,
Just wanted to say hello and thanks for all the great information on the forum.
I brewed my second batch today from a kit (a nut brown ale), and am hoping it comes out decently. Still waiting on my first batch to finish aging in the bottles (did that one with my brother-in-law; his first time too).
Anyway, I learned one important thing today. As convenient as it is, I probably won't be using my stove any more. I had somehow neglected to realize how long I'd be running it in the whole process (it's a gas stove). I went and watched the meter and realized I'll probably use more gas today than I do in a normal spring time month! So it looks like my next purchase will be a propane burner.
I've also learned that I've become completely obsessed with learning as much as I can
