Found these crates today(1/6/12) at ACO on clearance.
The price was marked $5.99 discounted to $3.00 each.
They are stackable and hold 30 longneck bottles.

Not sure if they are available just local at my ACO, or only in Michigan, or across the entire chain, but worth a look for some solid bottle storage. :rockin:

You'd have to store them in a dark place or keep them covered to prevent skunking. I use the new style sturdy 12 pack boxes from leinenkugel's (has seperators),magic hat, dundee's,Great Lakes,& the labatt cases.

That's what I use. Mine come from Walmart and hold 30 standard 12oz bottles.

Skunking? In dark glass? I store mine in a basement that is dark 90% of the time. I guess if the sun was allowed to hit the bottles you may have probs.

The dark glass is best for beer bottles, true. But being exposed to sunlight, they can get skunked. Just not quite as quick as clear or green glass.
