Hey ya'll, I haven't posted in a while. Haven't brewed anything in about five months. WAY OVERDUE. Anyway, I just wanted to check and see if anyone had any good techniques for removing the paint from Red Stripe bottles. I tried soaking them in OxyClean but so far that hasn't proved to be successful. If anyone has any pointers it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Metz

Some red stripe bottles actually have colored glass fired into the bottle, and it's not removable. If EdWorts technique doesn't work, then nothing will get them off.

Yeah, I accidentally made the same discovery Ed made last week. I normally use Iodophor, but for whatever reason I left some corona bottles (for apfelwein) in starsan. Didn't realise what happened until I saw paint flakes all over my hands.
