I have grown VERY fond of Flying Dog Brewery's Road Dog. It's a Scottish Porter but I can't say that its like any other I've ever tried. I'd highly suggest it to anyone who hasn't tried such.

Anywho, I just found and purchased an extract clone kit from Austins. Don't know much about it but am anxious to give it a try... Does anyone have a ProMash recipe for this beer? I'd be interested in giving that a try next if its available.

I guess I'll resurect this thread in several months to give everyone the lowdown on their clone kit.

I brewed 20 gallons of this from a modified Austin HBS extract recipe. I added a couple pounds of dark extract to make up for the lack of the full 5.5# of amber per batch at my LHBS that day.
I'm plugging it into BeerSmith2 right now so that I can try it AG in a couple weekends.
I love this beer! Actually, I love it so much, I am going to use it as a base for my soon-to-be-lifelong-quest for a flagship house dream porter. :)

Does Road Dog fit any kind of "official" Style?
Brown Porter (12A)?
Robust Porter (12B)?

Anyway, this is my slightly modified version. It is not all that far off from a straight off the sheet from AHBS and converted.

White Labs WLP028, Edinburgh Ale.

The krausen looked like something I wanted to eat with a spoon!
I have it aging now and can not wait until I tap it. Possibly next weekend.
