STC 1000 temp probe

on the temp probe/sensor there use to be two solid wires that you would plug into the back of the stc. i cut those wires off on accident. When i stripped back the wire to expose new wire it was stranded not solid like i cut off? is this going to effect the way the probe reads/works?

Those wires were just solder tinned. If you only cut an inch or so off it should have little effect. Just make sure to twist the wires well when you reconnect them. If you cut quite a bit off you may have to have a temperature offset to compensate.
